Aurelia Smith Falls was born in Bessemer City, North Carolina. She is the daughter of the late Bessemer City Councilman David Smith and Mattie N. Smith. Mrs. Falls matriculated the Gaston County School System during her early years.
She attended North Carolina Central University, Durham, North Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree.
While serving with her husband in ministry, her love for people and skills with people have grown and she has accepted the call that God has on her life which is reaching and uplifting souls for Christ, spiritual coaching and guidance, mentor of women and youth and engaging intercessory Prayer partners. As she fulfills her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother her strengths have prepared her for this next chapter in her life to promote the Kingdom of God. Her favorite scripture is “ I can do all things through him who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13 NIV
Aurelia was employed by Duke Energy, Charlotte, North Carolina for thirty years. Mrs. Falls worked in several areas in the Finance Department before retiring. She retired as a Senior
Shareholder Representative. She has served as a facilitator on personal development seminars and spoken on occasions for church Women’s Programs.
Aurelia served on the Planning Board of the African American Museum of History and Culture at Loray Mill Gastonia, North Carolina which began in 2018 and later served as a member of the Board of Directors until December 31, 2023. She presently serves on the Advisory Boards for Community Service Block Grant for Gaston Community Action, and Safe Kids Gaston.
